Known as the “Fledgling Phoenix,” Pang Tong served as a key strategist under Liu Bei and played a crucial role in the conquest of Yi Province.
Although he urged Liu Bei to advance on Yi Province, Pang Tong later rebuked him for celebrating his victories, remarking that “rejoicing over the seizure of another's land is not the conduct of a benevolent man.”
