“Among men, Lü Bu; among steeds, Red Hare.” Lü Bu was a formidable warrior known for betraying Ding Yuan and Dong Zhuo before rising as a warlord in his own right. He was ultimately defeated and executed by Cao Cao at the Battle of Xiapi.
Despite his fearsome reputation in fiction, Lü Bu never fought the Three Brothers in history. His only recorded duel was against Guo Si during his escape from the capital. The famous Sky Piercer halberd is also a later invention. Historically, the Records state he pierced Guo Si with a spear.
