Sun Quan
The first emperor of Wu. Son of Sun Jian and brother of Sun Ce.
Sun Quan inherited the lands of Jiang Dong after his brother's assassination.
In 207 AD, Sun Quan avenged his father by defeating Liu Biao's general Huang Zu. Later that year, he formed an alliance with Liu Bei and defeated the forces of Cao Cao in the Battle of Chibi.
After Cao Pi seized the throne, Sun Quan served as a vassal and was named King of Wu. He crowned himself emperor in 229 AD after refusing to send his son as a hostage to Wei.
Sun Quan died of illness in 252 AD.
